Breakups, Broken Hearts, and Moving On is a weekly podcast about healing broken hearts, building confidence, and moving forward in an empowered way. It is the perfect balance of science, spirituality, and sass.

With a heavy dose of optimism, I share what I’ve learned from personal experience AND as a breakup coach to help you though this time.

With over 200 episodes, it is more than a podcast, it is a resource library for people on any phase of their breakup healing journey.

If you feel that you are in an unhealthy relationship I hope our stories will help you find the information, strength, and courage you need to remove yourself and look toward a brighter future.

Episode Description

In this heartfelt episode of Breakups, Broken Hearts, and Moving On, I dive deep into the complex and courageous journey of leaving an unhealthy relationship. As someone who’s not just a breakup coach but also a survivor of toxic partnerships, I know the tangled web of emotions, shame, and hope that comes with this process. I’m joined by good friend Kelsey who brings her own brave story of getting out and healing after a turbulent, unhealthy relationship.

Kelsey and I open up about

  • What drew us to the partners who almost broke us and how even the most empathic among us can find ourselves in these situations.
  • The early warning signs and red flags we missed or ignored.
  • Our “oh shit” moments: those flashes of clarity when we realized just how unhealthy things had become.
  • Concrete signs of emotional abuse and manipulation, and how they can creep in without you realizing.
  • How we each found the strength to leave, whether it was after one try or after returning several times—a pattern many people can relate to.
  • What genuinely helped us heal and move forward, and what, frankly, just didn’t work.

Through our stories, we highlight not only the pain but also the tremendous growth that can come from ending a toxic relationship. I share my own path of navigating domestic violence and learning how codependence kept me stuck, and Kelsey bravely discusses the aftermath of her own breakup and the joy of rebuilding her life solo. Our hope is to offer both practical insights and soulful validation for anyone who feels alone in this journey.

If you’re facing the decision of leaving an unhealthy relationship, or you’re healing after one, please know you’re not alone. Your future can be brighter than you think. Listen in for solidarity, real talk, and actionable advice. If this episode resonates, share it with someone who needs to hear it, leave a review, or consider booking a free coaching session with me to begin your own healing.
